CEO James Blake has been recognised by the North West Business Insider as one of 42 business leaders under 42 to watch.
“There is a lot of talk about the need to be based in London to be a successful fintech, but our story alone demonstrates that this is not the case.”
Big data analytics firm Hello Soda may have started small but it has quickly expanded internationally and now has offices in Bangkok and Austin, Texas.
Hello Soda’s business proposition revolves around its “unstructured data analytics platform”, which enables companies across a range of sectors to gain meaningful insights from unstructured data, revolutionising the way they work.
The platform is used to verify identity and detect fraud, asses risk and increase financial inclusion, and to personalise the user experience by delivering insights that traditional data doesn’t cover, helping brands to engage with consumers on a one-to-one level.
Half of the Manchester company’s revenue is already being generated in the US and it is forecasting treble-digit growth over the next 18 months.
Blake says “when we started the business in 2013, we recognised the potential that big data analytics held and knew we could play a pivotal part in the fintech revolution. Now, just three years on, our international presence has been fully cemented and we operate around the globe 24 hours a day.”
