The business is searching for an ambitious Junior Software Engineer to maintain and improve on our core application stack involving Scala, MongoDB, RabbitMQ. You will be working in close collaboration with our senior engineers and data scientists as you take on responsibilities related to internal and customer-facing microservices, and learn about the challenges and trade-offs involved in building and maintaining complex SaaS products.

The Role

General Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and improvement of existing back-end systems.
    • Scala, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, Redis.
    • Customer-facing and internal RESTful APIs.
    • Interdependent data processing pipelines.
    • Asynchronous and reactive programming.
    • Enhancing runtime telemetry and tests.
  • Documenting their work meaningfully throughout code, issues, and pull requests.

Skills & Requirements

You will be working in close collaboration with other software engineers as you interface with numerous internal microservices and contribute input towards their maturity.
